High Sierra Topix

I came across this information on the backpacker forums - sorry for the cross post for those that have already seen it, but I figured this may effect some of us in the near future...

1) Ursack is now conditionally approved (with 1 exception) for use by SIBBG

2) Bearvault approval has been removed until further notice for a portion of SEKI (Rae Lakes Loop )

Bummer on the bearvault decision. I always use my bearikade cannister on my trips, but a couple months ago I bought two bearvaults for backup or re-supply... one of those "good deals" on Ebay. Oh well.

We discussed this a month ago. I couldn't find the exception to conditional approval in all of the Sierra and Parks in CA. Where is the exception? Thanks. The insert makes it harder to cinch the Ursack up but it can be done.
