Thank you, thank you. It is amazing what a week does for the dogwood. The ones in my yard are out now too.
Piece of cake.

Hi Hikerduane

They where growing wild near Merced Grove and about 5 mins into the park from Crane Flats
there is a creek that goes back for a long-long ways on the northern side of the 120 with
dogwoods all over the place.
I really felt as I was in dogwood heaven!

Maverick, your pictures are just beautiful! What a wonderful assortment of scenes and subjects! I'll be in Yosemite in a couple months, and although it will still be beautiful, it won't be looking like these pictures... everything is so new and fresh. I've never seen Yosemite in the Winter, or in the spring when the waterfalls are so beautifully full. That's on my "to do" list for this lifetime.

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you Rosabella for your kind words. If you want a gorgeous trip than go to
Sunrise High Sierra Camp at this time next year!
The view east, north(from the middle of the meadow) and south are sublime with the winter
scenery, but there are some dry spots big enough for tents or sleeping bags near the ranger station.
There are some rocks between the meadow and the Ranger station that had a nice flat and dry
area on it large enough for a mattress and sleeping pad with room to boot.
