Virginia Canyon Water Situation

Anyone been into Virginia Canyon off of Conway Summit in the last few weeks? I am interested to know if there are any water sources that have not dried up? A friend of mine is going from Twin Lakes to Toulumne and I am trying to convince he wants to do Virginia instead of the big climb to Peeler.
