South lake over Bishop pass into Dusy basin

I have 8 year son that wants to backpack, camp, and fish in the wilderness. So I planned a 5 day trip on the third week of Aug to Lake 11393 in Dusy basin. I have not hiked for over 25 years so any advices will be greatly appreciated.
How’s the fishing in lake 11393 in Dusy Basin?
Upper Dusy basin is there enough cover from thunderstorms?
