I don't know how to see satellite images in CalTopo, I think there is a way if you subscribe. Like Dave Senesac shows, I use sentinel hub playground: https://apps.sentinel-hub.com/sentinel- ... Dates=true
Here is Lodgepole at the lower center and Twin Lakes at upper center.

Click the link and you can turn the satellite on or off with the satellite icon in the upper right and see the underlying map, with a few notations & the road.

I note that mountain-forecast.com https://www.mountain-forecast.com/peaks ... casts/3000 Expects 10 or so inches of snow Sunday a bit east of Lodgepole.

Yep, last weekend (4/17 - 4/19). At the time, the road was closed at the Sno-Park, but it was snow free up until the pack station. After that it was patchy with a few long stretches of snow.

Went when I could get an earliest reflection. Big snow year 2017, end of June after visiting Mono and White Mtns. There were still ski tracks across the center of the snow covered lake surface from those that had visited earlier in spring.

Early August lushly green, vibrant with water, that same Rock Creek headwaters was good for the soul in all creaturely dimensions. One of two pandemic backpacks, 8/3/2020:
