Onion Valley after the fire?

Some friends and I have been planning a hike from the Onion Valley trail head. Does anyone know how far up tha canyon the fire burned towards Kearsarge Pass?

I read on the Inyo Forest Website that the trailhead to Kearsarge is open, now. Not sure how far it burned, though.

I called Lone pine this morning and they said that the fire did not go up Onion Valley and that all of the trails were well above the fire.

I'm sure if you pm her she'll give you more info. I think she mentioned only the Oak Creek cg being closed. No trails affected above the trailhead.
