I almost saw you at big lake! We were there on the 14th/15th. Sun umbrellas were really a must.

I am looking forward to your trip report. From your post to "conditions", you must have crossed the main Cherry Creek. How was that? Did you go from Five Acre Lake down to the North Fork of Cherry Creek? If so, how was that? Also looking for suggestions of how to get to the actual shoreline of Hyatt Lake.

We crossed main cherry creek a bit down stream of lords meadows fording one part and on a log over a waterfall for the high flow part. It was a pretty easy crossing but the flows had died down quite a bit by then. (like a ton)

To the south of Five Acre Lake there is a ravine down to the North Fork of Cherry Creek, it is a little steep a couple places but not bad at all except for the bugs.

We went into the beach at the northern most tip of Hyatt lake where there was little brush, but we went out the north east end of the beach the brush actually is not bad at all to walk through. The south end of the beach by the inflow the brush was terrible, we went way around that. I actually found the beach at Hyatt lake unimpressive, we found much better beaches along the creeks.

Did you see any of the hoofed animals I saw tracks of everywhere? Some of them were up really high like the ridge above Hyatt lake. So much granite!
