BSL SEKI loop beta

Post by pablo2000 »

Hey there,

Well this years adventure I will be tackling the 154 mile loop in August, permit starts @ Roads End clockwise. My question is does anyone have any beta on the conditions, I know several bridges are out and the flow is high with quite a bit of snow on the passes. However did you feel the need for microspikes, were you post-holing over the passes, mosquitoes @ elevation ect… I’ll be resupplying in Independence via Kearsarge pass & Onion Valley, I know the campground is closed due to flooding has anyone been up that way? Should there still be enough traffic to hitch into town on a Wednesday?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice you may be able to offer. Gonna climb Fin Dome, and planning a couple side trips since I have a permit from the 1-18th, any ideas on side trips would be wonderful as well...

Cheers & Happy Summer!

Hi Pablo2000,

Welcome to HST! Have your read this yet: http://www.highsierratopix.com/communit ... &hilit=BSL

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Have a safer backcountry experience by using the HST ReConn Form 2.0, named after Larry Conn, a HST member: http://reconn.org
