My opinion, the River Trail is the worst, due to horse use, very dusty and you will be in the valley.
This is true, it is the least scenic of the three routes, but also the easiest too. :nod:

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Off hwy 395 between Bishop and Mammoth Lakes. Hike up Rock Creek. It's absolutly gorgeous and easy hiking. Everbody I've sent there believed it to the best easy place in the Sierra. For me I'm sure of it.
