I too enjoyed hearing the report from the boys perspective. My son always says, "The best part about backpacking is going home, taking a shower and going to bed in your own bed."
I like the way they wrote about missing home. I also miss home a little when I am out there. I just never admit it in a trail report!

We just found out that the younger son has cancer. After the initial shock and grief and fear (and there was a lot of danger), we are now more hopeful because we have found out it is very treatable.
Good luck in this fight, wish you all the perseverance and energy needed to overcome this battle, your family will be in my thoughts!

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
