Thanks Eric, that make's sense. We thought it might be closed but figured we'd rather ask forgiveness than permission and intentionally didn't look into it when we started the trip.

Hmmm... Maybe I shouldn't say that on the internet? Oh well, this whole TR is a farce and I made it up, prove otherwise! :)

Really awesome. The climbs you guys have been doing back there are impressive. Both of you guys can snap a photo too!

Those canyons that come off the monarch divide into middle fork look spectacular. Go down a couple of those and write trip reports so we can see what's in there! (I'd never make it out of there!)

Thanks, and those canyons are on the super long to-do list! I've looked down them and up them, now I just need to descend them. That whole area is so rugged and amazing! A friend is rock climbing in the Gorge of Despair as we speak, can't wait to see those pics. Not to mention that I think Swamp Lakes is one of the most beautiful areas I've ever seen. Can't get enough SEKI!

Got my vote for Fish TR of the year!!!
I like the idea of doing a trip like that with a surgeon. Nice amenity.
Lower elevation moving water in the Sierra is so unique, nothing quite like it anywhere. An acquired taste.
Thanks for posting.
