Crossing the North Fork of the Kings near courtright res.

Post by Sierra_Summits »

I am hoping to hike up the North Fork of the Kings river from courtright reservoir up to Finger Col. Does anybody know if it is too early to cross the river or will it be too high still? I will be entering the canyon from just past the dam. Thanks for any help.

It is not too early. I did it in June last year and had no problem (also crossing from Finger Col). While this is a heavier year, it should be no problem.

Shoot, sorry we didn't see this sooner. Agree with Robert, by the time you posted this question I had already been back and forth across the NF Kings half a dozen times in that area.
