May be a little too late for assessing weather conditions, but here's a trip report from a couple of weeks ago during the Memorial Day weekend.

Went to Kennedy Lake from Kennedy Meadows. All other trailheads seemed to be closed due to abundance of snow. Temps during the day were in the 60's. Showers and thunderstorms came by around mid-afternoon on both Saturday and Sunday. Temps at night dipped into the low 30s; some frost on the tents in the morning. There was snow above 9000'; took a day hike to the saddle overlooking Kennedy Canyon. Most of the peaks to the south were snow-capped.

Mosquitoes were nowhere to be found. There were probably about 100 other people camped about the meadow north of Kennedy Lake. We camped at the inlet to the lake; pretty lonely up there. Below are some photos. Enjoy.

larree0:
No bugs anywhere on that weekend.

FeetFirst:
No actual cows yet; not sure when the grazing starts. But there were plenty of cowpies from last summer strewn everywhere.
