Rogue is correct--one of the really cool places in Virginia Canyon. And the peak in the background is Shepherd's Crest.

GB did offer a nice puzzle. I was not quite sure of the lake until I checked the topo, S...tL. GB was there because of nice golden trout in the lake above and that lake also offers a superb dawn view eastward about Labor Day. To get into that basin without going over to obvious snowy col is tricky. In this case he is en route to climb over the high tricky ridge to LI with that col mid frame.

I was with Rogue when he took this photo! Enchanted Gorge at the one nice spot in the entire bloody gorge. As we called it... The Lake of Enchantment.

Interesting the way my mind works. Must have seen that or a similar image somewhere because that is where I vaguely thought it was even though I've never been there. Have been nearby though on the way up Goddard.
