I was up in the humphreys basin too with my kids the storm that rolled in at 3am on Friday the 3rd was the most intense 1/2 hour of storm I've ever experienced. Having my 9,11 and 13 year olds really upped the scare factor. The lightning strikes every 3 seconds added to this dads anxiety.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

One of my favorite areas. Loved the dog pics, and was glad they got over Puppet Pass. Those down booties in one of the tent pics; They are to die for!! I've used them before on snow camping and there the best thing invented for Sierra weather.

Thanks for sharing your trip. excellent all around!!

The best of both worlds, beautiful country and a beautiful bride to share it with.
Better to have it and not need it than it is to need it and not have it!
