The only wedding I have attended that I really enjoyed was on the top of Mt. Shasta. The bride and groom had the forethought to hire TWO who could perform the ceremony, in case one dropped out due to altitude sickness! They were all decked out on the top of Shasta, tux, wedding gown, ice axes and crampons.

I lucked out and got my wife into backpacking about 13 years after we married. She has done 3 JMT trips and about 15 others since then. You are smart to pick somebody that is already field tested. Congrats and good luck.
