Emigrant - Gianelli Cabin to Upper Wire Lake water availabil

Post by mschnaidt »

I'm heading into Emigrant Wilderness on Saturday. Taking the trail from Gianelli Cabin to Upper Wire lake the 1st day. In this drought year, I'm wondering if I will be able to fill up my bottles at Whitesides or Salt Lick Meadows? If anyone has been on the trail lately or has previous experience I'd appreciate the info.

Thanks!

As of just over a week ago, the creek through Whitesides was down to stagnant pools. Don't know about Salt Lick.
