Hi Everyone,

On June 20-22, I enjoyed a two-night trip up Copper Creek in SEKI National Park. I camped in Tent Meadow on the first night, and then camped at State Lakes on the second night. I climbed Mount Hutchings on my return. This was my first time climbing Mount Hutchings -- it's a fun scramble with a fantastic view. I'm unsure why it's not more popular; maybe everyone's climbing Goat Mountain instead? Mosquitoes were swarming heavily on this trip, especially around 10,000 feet; long sleeves and pants were very necessary.

Here are some photos. . .

Thanks for sharing. That is an area I have never been to, but have always wanted to. I know, just do it..
See any rattlesnakes or other hikers?

That whole area seems to see few ascents. When I was on Goat Mountain in 2011 the register showed that maybe 3 parties a year climb it.

Nice TR and photos from an area that doesn't seem to get many visits.

@iHartMK - No rattlesnakes, but I did see a party of dayhikers on Copper Creek climbing Goat Mountain, plus two small backpacking groups passing through Glacier Basin. However, in the parking lot and ranger station, I saw at least a dozen groups coming/going on Woods and Bubbs Creek.

Cool TR and pretty picture to a wonderful area. Tent Meadow area looks nice a
green still. Got love the Glacier Lakes and Kid Lake area, and the views from
Kid Lakes up the Muro Blanco, especially form Kid Peak is sub-lime. Thanks
