This coming wknds backpack to Matlock Lake - need headcount!

Postby Trailtrekker06 » Mon Oct 23, 2006 9:22 pm

Hi everybody that is going this wknd- need a head count for permit purposes. Looks like Onion Valley to Matlock Lake (with options for day hiking/climbing) is still on. :D The weather has been nice, road was still open as of yesterday. Talked to Snowy tonight and let her know I would try to get a head count. Just post here or you can e mail me at metabulu@sbcglobal.net Thanks!!

It's on my calendar.
Walking outside is where I find what's inside.

Sooz! I'm sorry but I'm going to have to bail on this trip. I have to attend a going away party for a co-worker and can't miss it. :( Have fun and stay warm!

Sorry you'll miss the trip, Skibum, but have fun at the party!
Thanks everybody for posting. I count 8 of us at this point, inc. Snowy and myself. Tomcat, ya sure you don't want to come in and freeze with us?
San Diego Gas and Electric doing some work in my area tomorrow- power will be out for 10 hours (!!!), so I'll check back in late tomorrow or Thursday about the meeting time, or Snowy will post and let ya all know what's up.
Thanks again for responding! Anybody else that wants to go, please post!

Yep, looks like it. Maybe somebody would be willing to share one with ya for storage at night. I'm bringing in my little half-sized guy, it does come in handy on the overnighters, but I really do prefer the Bearikade to anything else. We still need a permit (not on self-issue yet), I'll pick one up on Friday for us all.
