What are my chances of snagging a walk-in to backpack to Alta Meadow/Alta Peak, arriving at the Lodgepole permit office around 11 a.m. on a Saturday?

My guess is you'll be okay since it is still early enough in the season that folks are
still worried about snow, but would try to get there as early as possible.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
