Topo route really won't help. this is micro navigating and the key is hooking up with the correct ducks I described before.

Here you go Nick, a good description of the route, and welcome to HST! http://books.google.com/books?id=eWRKAQ ... on&f=false" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Road is closed, reported to open beginning of June, the resort opens June 13th.
On their site they have a photo of Saddlebag Lake from May 9th: http://www.saddlebaglakeresort.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Lot of snow and lake was still frozen.

Confused by what you want.
We gave you the exact starting point - (Old tungsten mine trail to Secret Lake) - route pictures - middle - good pictures of the top/ slot up to the sign...a warning which way not to go with pictures too...(BTW, it is maybe a 1/2 mile from Secret Lake to the sign.)
and you still seem confused as to what is "correct path."

How much Sierra have you done?
