Kinda washed out, but gives you an idea of what's out there.

Trailtrekker06,

Did you by chance go with or meet a guy named Gordon on this trip? He just did Baxter to S. Lake last week as well and said he was going with some others.

Yeah, I met him last month at Bench Lake and hiked out Taboose with him. I don't know him well, but he seems like a great guy.

Yep, nice guy. He was kind to keep me company on this trip, I just wasn't ready to go solo for a week "off season". I know it wasn't his usual wandering XC style, so I'm sure it was hard for him to stay on trail and do only 10 miles a day, so I really appreciated his company. I just really wanted to knock off another section of the JMT while I had the time.
Were you one of the people that gave him a lift back to his vehicle?

I ran into Gordon on the second to last weekend of August at the Horseshoe Meadows parking lot on my way out-he was getting ready to head out to Miter Basin, I believe. We talked for a good 45 minutes. Always fun to meet like-minded people in the outdoors! :D
