TR: Owens Valley and Hot Creek Hikes

My first trip to the Southern Sierra's this year was a great one. During the first week of April a friend and I left the Los Angeles County area (Glendora) about 2:30am in the morning and arrived at the Owens river about 6:00am straight to our hike. Since a majority of the back country was still full of snow we settled for a nice lower elevation hike. The first day we headed out for a 14 mile hike along the Owens River. Day two we headed a little further north to Hot Creek where we hiked 9 miles where Hot Creek runs into the Owens River. The scenery this time of year is unbelievable. With the mountains still full of snow and clear skies everything set up perfect for some great photos. The photos tell the story better than I can.......Enjoy.
