I guess to be fair this photo is taken from a point that probably not more than a handful of people have ever been.

Knew Morrison at first look.

Haven't been to area of RP's pic but can glean some clues from it. Whitebark pines and one mountain hemlock thus not way south in SNP where there would be foxtail pines also. All granite so not likely a crest area that is more likely to also have metamorphic rocks. A high interior sub-range area to the west of the crest because little vegetation because of lower precip being in a rain shadow of ridges to the west with talus all over. And Could be something north of the South Fork of the Kings and west of Le Conte Divide, south of Middle Fork of the Kings. Or maybe northern areas of the Great Western Divide.

Okay, got one, and I'd be surprised if this group doesn't get this in a hurry. Name the highest peak in the pick as well as the town the pic was taken from:

SSSDave had a pretty good narrow down. The peak is Mt. Shakespere. Would have been easier if it had been taken from a more common angle.
