Beautiful stuff. And I can't help thinking that Larry lived a wonderful life, having done all of these trips, and seen all of this stuff with his own eyes.

Truly remarkable.

As a reminder, review this from Mav's sig file:

Have a safer backcountry experience by using the HST ReConn Form 2.0:
http://reconn.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

From Mav's anchored page in the announcements section and in his sig file.

I agree. One of the most important forms y ou may ever fill out before an outing and s/b part of your trip planning. I know that I will. Thanks Mav. A legacy to an extraordinary human and member of this community.

Wow. What a rich mixture of beauty, enticement (I'm ready to go!), and of course sadness. Thank you so much! :thumbsup:

Just read this post. What a blessed journey he had. After all the beautiful things he saw in life, I suppose he feels right at home now.

Peace.

During all those trips I went cross country solo I always wondered if it would happen to me. I never was bothered with the idea I might die doing somthin I loved but I remember hoping that if it happened that I wouldn't suffer for a lot of time (maybe days).
Larry was a special person.
