Shortcut to Rae Lakes

Post by Trailguru »

I've read before (don't ask me where) that it is possible to access the Rae lakes area by going over only 1 pass as opposed to 2 (Kearsarge and Glenn). Seems like that there is something called Dragon Pass that takes you to Dragon lake from Onion Valley.

Has anyone ever done this before? If so is it worthwhile to save time?
Also can it be accessed by first summiting Mt Gould and then descending directly to Dragon Lake? Thanks for everyone's feedback

The power of the "search feature".

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
